Preparing for an Exam

Think About It!

Feeling confident while taking tests is the first step to focusing, and that starts with studying for it. Some ADDYTeens did not study in middle school but still did well on tests. That tends to change in high school,

The best studying is active studying. It involves the words “doing” or “making.” It is making index cards, for example in Spanish class. It is making timelines, for example in history class. It is doing practice problems, for math or science classes.

TIP: I learned that it’s best to reserve some time before an exam or paper with my teachers even before I knew what I did not “get.” I wanted to make sure I had that time reserved just in case, and I almost always used it.

This Set PLAY is detailed in Grace's new book "Winning with ADHD"

Grace gives proven step-by-step instructions for this situation and the most common home-related issues, school problems, coping strategies, peer struggles, and other scenarios which affect ADDYTeens everywhere.
